![]() ![]() Play Arma 3 or older DayZ, no matter what you do, you get crap FPS, that game is limited by the CPU even at 4k, meaning a GTX 1060 would get around the same FPS at a 2080ti at 4k in that game, GPU wouldn't even be at 100%, thats bad optimization, CPU wouldn't even be at 100% as the game is really only designed to work on a few cores at best Now go play something like Battlefield, or Forza at 4k maxed out, your GPU would struggle and hardly get 30 - 40fps, if you artificially limit the GPU since you don't think its a good thing, if course FPS will be lower, thats not a sign of bad optimization, thats a sign that you need a better GPU to get playable FPS, the game can leverage more GPU power and is not bottlenecked by another component in the system such as the CPU or bad optimization. GPU at 100% is a good thing, you want that, if it's below that and your FPS is unplayable or low, then the game is not optimized, or if you get more than playable FPS and GPU is not at 100% means the game just don't have enough for the GPU to do, which also isn't a bad thing. My GTX 1070ti when turn on vsyn this game make my FPS drop and GPU 100% but turn off no more drop fps stable at 60fps and GPU only 60%( first game my GPU 60%) GPU 100% it's not a good thing, this means game not good optimize for graphic card( Im ok if it's not strong card but good card it's meh). The game runs good on machine, I was able to even get SLI working really well as well, but even with a single 1070, its well above 60fps. ![]() I'd I would check with video drivers, wipe them out with DDU and get the latest from Nvidia and reinstall and see if that fixes the problem.Īnd its normally a good thing a game uses a GPU at 100%, and a game leveraging the CPU is also a good thing, you just don't want the CPU sitting at 100% load all the time or you can run into problems with other things, but GPU being at 100% is a good thing if your FPS is also good that is. ![]() ![]() Originally posted by =AEST=Viking:You mean i9 9900 right? ![]()
